This month's theme is all about building from the inside out. Tell us how this theme has played a role in your personal or professional life.

For the last few years, I’ve stopped trying to build my life from the outside in — titles, prestige, “what looks impressive on LinkedIn” — and started from the inside out instead.

Before I left my full-time job, I built internal safety. I practiced trusting myself. I learned how to sit with uncertainty without spiraling.

At OutGrowth, we believe in designing the space and time to reimagine the path forward. How do you think that turning inward to discover and design our own sense of security can help us to navigate our lives and careers?

When we don’t define security for ourselves, we borrow someone else’s definition.

And borrowed definitions usually come with burnout.

Turning inward lets us ask better questions:

What actually makes me feel safe?

What kind of life do I want my work to support?

What pace feels sustainable for me?

Once you know those answers, your decisions get simpler. You stop chasing every opportunity and start choosing the aligned ones.

What is one hard lesson you learned in this past year that contributed to your growth?

That “capacity” isn’t just about time — it’s emotional. I used to think if I could technically fit something on my calendar, I should say yes. But this year taught me that energy is the real currency.

What is one competency or skill you hope to develop in 2026?

Storytelling at scale.

What inspires you?

Nature

At OutGrowth, we believe in preparing the next generation of leaders. What is one resource you'd recommend to those looking to carve out the time for growth in the next year?

The Alchemist

What's next? What are you excited about in the coming year?

More experiments. New workshops. New spaces. More writing. Maybe a few ideas that feel a little scary (which usually means they’re the right ones).
